Yiga Chodzin is a Buddhist meditation retreat centre
in rural Latvia,
one of the three Baltic republics in Eastern Europe.

The main facility is a building first built approximately 150 years ago as a German baron's vodka distillery, on 1.5Ha of land by Lake Brenguzis on the outskirts of Drusti village, 120Km from Latvia's capital, Riga.

Yiga Chodzin needs a few dedicated pioneers to live in and staff the centre to enable individuals or groups to meditate and practise there. This could suit persons interested to live in semi-retreat in a quiet environment.

As long as space remains,
As long as sentient beings remain,
Until then may I too remain
To dispel the miseries of the world.
